dcu: Batman: The Dark Knight Returns Part 1 is perfect. They got the mood right (with the help of some 80’s feeling music). They got the look right. They made it feel like it’s own story without it actually feeling like a “Part 1”. They made, by far, the best animated feature based on a comic thus far.
